Child welfare disruptor. Truth-teller. Abolitionist. Daughter of missionaries. Survivor of war. Mother by adoption.

 

And I’m here to tell a different story.

It’s time to face the truth about the family policing system. For 22 years, I worked inside Florida’s child welfare system. What I witnessed,  and lived, was a machine built to surveil, separate, and punish families, especially Black families. A system that calls itself protective but causes deep harm.  A system that is not broken.  It’s functioning exactly as designed.  But I believe something better is possible.

My vision is radical and deeply rooted. Guided by Biblical principles of justice, healing, and truth, I’m calling for a complete reimagining of how we support families in this country.

🕊️ Liberation from systems built on the legacy of slavery and white supremacy.

 

This is the work God placed on my heart. This is not about religion.  It’s about righteousness. It’s about creating a system that reflects who we claim to be: a country that honors ALL families, not just some.
